The reason I recommend new is that a wiper arm has a spring in it to hold tension against the windshield, and over time, the spring will weaken and not hold the wiper arm to the windshield properly. So if you buy used ones, you may be worse off than you are now! IMHO, spend the extra cash and buy new! HTH!
